Oslo: Norway’s green city

Oslo is closer to you thanks to Faro Airport. Fly direct to Oslo with SAS Scandinavian.

Oslo – a city definitely worth visiting!

Oslo is considered a green city and one which has a lot of well-preserved nature. Sixty percent of the Norwegian city is set aside for the construction of buildings. The remaining 40% of its territory is reserved for preserved green spaces. So the fact that it won the 2019 European Green Capital Award is no mere chance. This prize takes into consideration sustainability aspects such as carbon footprint, efficiency of public transport, urban planning, commitment to sustainable food production and green space.

As the European Green Capital, it should come as no surprise that Oslo offers a vast range of outdoor leisure activities. Parks, museums, forests, lakes… there are so many that it’s almost impossible to choose between them! We suggest the Ekeberg Park; the Vigeland Park, a park with sculptures; the Vikingskipshuset, a Viking museum that houses three original Viking ships; and also Frogner Park and the Green Gold of Norway.

See you there?
