DESTINATION: LIVERPOOL

Located in the northwest of England and very close to the capital London, Liverpool, this charming little town, is one of the most cultural in Europe.
A 3 hour flight from Faro Airport, the traditionally British city is 2 hours by train from London, and has approximately 485,000 inhabitants. Liverpool is considered one of the cultural capitals of Europe and offers many options for spending your free time such as museums, art galleries, pubs and restaurants. All this, in line with a lower cost of living than the British standard, makes Liverpool a popular destination for students.

The city is relatively small, quiet and easily accessible to public transport and at the same time lively and interesting as a large metropolis. Liverpool also has universities and educational institutions recognized in various fields.

Other universities and educational institutions include the City of Liverpool College, which has more than 20,000 enrolled students and is also reputable in art; the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, one of England’s largest medical schools; Knowsley Community College, which has continuing education and higher education courses; or University Liverpool John Moores.

To combine with your studies and free time, you can not miss the Royal Albert Dock, the port area that concentrates historic buildings, museums and dining options and bars, as well as a beautiful landscape. It is a place to visit day or night and spend some time… Two streets that you can not miss are the Concert Square, where you will find great parties, discos and bars and Hardman Street, where you will find the best pubs in the city! Beatles fans can not miss a visit at the Cavern Club, the bar where the quartet began its career. For those who like sports Liverpool is also a great destination, as the city is a football fan and has two teams, Liverpool FC and Everton FC.
